Keep the facts your ads read in one list.
A data collection is a list your ads read from: products, stores, offers, opening dates. Create it in the Data workspace, insert its columns into a script, then let Delivery choose the right row per request.
Open the Data workspace
From the application dashboard, open Data. Your collections are listed under Collections, each with its row count and a preview of its first columns. Account admins create and change collections; other members can read them.
Open the dashboard, then choose Data from the navigation.
Choose a creation method
| Method | Best for | Review focus |
|---|---|---|
| Describe with AI | Drafting columns and starting rows from a sentence, such as “Twelve coffee products with a name, a price in EUR and a roast level”. | Column names, types, and factual verification of every row before saving. |
| New collection | Typing rows, or pasting them straight from Excel, Google Sheets, or a CSV. | Column headings and the type chosen for each column. |
| Import CSV / XLSX | Lists maintained in a spreadsheet or system export. | The first row names the columns; check how each column was read. |
With AI and with import, nothing is created until you save it. A workbook with several sheets asks which one holds the rows.
Edit the sheet
- Enter the name in Collection name…. Choose it with care; it identifies the collection in the script and in Delivery.
- Double-click a column heading to rename it.
- Right-click to insert or remove rows and columns.
- Correct any highlighted cell.
- Choose Save collection.
To change a saved collection, open its card menu and choose Edit manually or Edit with AI.
Set column types
A column's type decides how its values are spoken and compared. Right-click the column heading, choose Column settings…, and set Data type. A column marked Needs a type must be given one before saving.
| Type | Use it for | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Text | Names, labels, and categories. | product_name = House blend |
| Whole number, Number, Percent | Stock, priority, scores, or thresholds. | stock = 40 |
| Yes / No | A yes/no eligibility column. | in_stock = Yes |
| Date, Time, Date and time | Openings, deadlines, and schedules. | opening_date = 2026-10-03 |
| Money | An amount with its currency, written in one cell. | price = 120 EUR |
| Temperature, Distance, Speed, Duration, Direction | Measured values; choose the Unit with the type. | radius = 5 |
Required marks a column that every row must fill.
Insert a collection field in Studio
- Open the target project and creative.
- Place the caret in the script and type {.
- Under DATA, select the saved collection.
- Select the column to speak and, when offered, its spoken form.
- Confirm the token in the script and Dynamic Properties.
A collection is used like a POI list for authoring: select its fields, then configure its record choice for Delivery. A project reads its records from one source, so choose between a POI list, a sport feed, and a data collection. To hear another row in the editor, open Criteria, point at the collection, and choose one of its first five records. This choice is only a preview; it does not choose the delivered row.
Use the collection in Delivery
The collection gets its own panel in Which record, titled DATA · collection name. Rules read each column as record. followed by the column name, together with the listener and the request. Define Include and Exclude, choose how one row is selected, and decide what plays when no row is left.
In Which creative, Conditional offers recipes built from the collection's columns, so a column's value can pick the creative.
Collection QA checklist
- Every column has a clear name and the right type.
- Money cells carry their currency, and measured values their unit.
- Each token's spoken form fits its sentence.
- Rows with a missing value are covered by another creative or a deliberate No ad.
- The collection contains only rows eligible for the campaign scope.
- Typical and no-record listeners were checked in Test.
