Controls and shortcuts.

A compact reference for the editor interactions that are easiest to forget. Exact shortcuts can vary as Studio evolves; visible controls and confirmation dialogs remain authoritative.

Script editor

Action	Control	Result
New paragraph	`Enter`	Creates another spoken paragraph/vocal unit.
Select text	Pointer drag	Defines the target for a contextual text action.
Open contextual actions	Right-click selection	Opens actions including Dynamic Content.
Insert data	`{`	Opens the Data Token Picker at the caret.
Edit dynamic configuration	Select token/segment	Opens or updates Dynamic Properties where supported.

Creatives

Action	Control	Tip
Add	Blank toolbar action	Creates an empty creative in the current project.
Rename	Double-click the creative title or use its name action	Use a strategy-oriented name.
Switch	Click a creative	Confirm its script before editing.
Duplicate	Creative actions menu	Creates an isolated copy for controlled changes.

Timeline movement

Clip	Drag body	`Ctrl` + drag body
Vocal	Moves the selected start only.	Moves selected and downstream vocal clips.
Music	Moves start; variable-duration behavior can keep its end anchored.	Moves while preserving clip duration.
SFX	Moves the clip start.	Same practical result; no vocal ripple.

Timeline resizing

Clip	Drag edge	`Ctrl` + drag edge
Vocal	Changes duration and effective speech speed; applies normal following-clip anchoring.	Retimes and ripple-adjusts downstream vocals.
Music	Changes active duration within the source.	Same duration edit.
SFX	Changes active duration within the source.	Same duration edit.

Modifier timingHold Ctrl before pressing the pointer, keep it held during the drag, and release the pointer first.

Navigation and playback

Use timeline zoom to change visible precision; it does not alter audio.
Move the playhead before the edit to hear the transition.
Use standard playback for editorial review.
Use Mix None for raw comparison, Quick for fast client preview, and HQ for the server production chain.
Wait for pending synthesis, import, or render actions before leaving the project.

Preview with Criteria

Action	Control	Result
Preview a dynamic option	Criteria → criterion → option, or Default	The script shows and plays that option.
Set the listener for User context tokens	Criteria → User context → Current location, Pick on map…, or a Recently used place	Location, date, and weather tokens preview that listener.
Preview another record	Criteria → list, collection, or feed → record	Record tokens preview that place, row, or match.

Safety habits

Check the selected creative before every edit.
Keep an approved source before large AI or structural changes.
Review credit confirmation before generation.
Use a default for every dynamic decision.
Listen to HQ output before publish.
