Acceptable Use Policy
The rules for what you may and may not do with Voxify Studio.
1. General principle
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes, in compliance with these rules, the Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations (including advertising, broadcast, data-protection, intellectual-property and consumer-protection rules that apply to the audio you produce). You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by your team Users and, where you use our API/Embedded SDK, by your end users.
2. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Service, and must not submit, generate or distribute content, to:
- Break the law — engage in any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive activity, or breach any applicable local, national or international law or regulation.
- Upload or imitate a voice without consent — upload a recording of a person’s voice, or produce audio that imitates a person’s voice, without that person’s prior, express, documented permission. You must never imitate the voice of public figures, celebrities or deceased persons without the necessary rights. (Voice cloning is not offered by the Service — see the Privacy Policy.)
- Create deceptive synthetic media (“deepfakes”) — generate audio that impersonates a real person or organisation in a misleading way, or that could deceive listeners as to who is speaking or endorsing a message, without clear authorisation and disclosure.
- Impersonate or misrepresent — falsely represent yourself, your affiliation, or any person or company, or misattribute statements.
- Infringe rights — violate any copyright, trademark, voice, likeness, image, publicity or privacy rights, or any other intellectual-property or proprietary right; or defame, disparage or portray anyone in a false light.
- Produce harmful or hateful content — create content that is obscene, harassing, threatening, or that promotes violence, hatred or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnic or national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other protected characteristic.
- Exploit or endanger minors — produce, distribute or facilitate content that exploits, sexualises or harms children.
- Spam or mislead — send unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional material, or any other form of solicitation, or run deceptive, scam or phishing campaigns.
- Distribute malware — upload or transmit any material that contains viruses, trojans, worms, keyloggers, spyware or any other malicious or harmful code.
- Attack or interfere with the Service — disable, circumvent or probe security features; gain or attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems or networks; or carry out denial-of-service or other disruptive attacks.
- Abuse automation — use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access, harvest from or overload the Service, except through our documented public API within its limits.
- Reverse engineer — attempt to discover the source code, models, algorithms, weights or underlying components of the Service, or copy, resell, sublicense or recreate the Service.
- Use restricted content categories without authorisation — produce regulated content (e.g. political advertising, financial promotions, gambling, healthcare, alcohol) without the approvals and disclosures required by the applicable regulator and platform.
3. Content standards
All content must be accurate where it states facts, must be genuinely held where it states opinions, and must comply with applicable law. We may, at our discretion and without obligation to monitor, review content and refuse to process, remove, or disable access to any content that we reasonably consider breaches this AUP, is unlawful, or exposes us or others to liability.
4. AI, voices and licensed assets
- AI-generated output may be inaccurate or non-unique; you are responsible for reviewing it and for obtaining all clearances before publishing or broadcasting it.
- You must hold the rights or consents required for any voice, script, brand asset or audio you provide, and comply with the terms of the third-party providers that power our features (including ElevenLabs).
- Music and sound assets from in-product libraries may be used only within the scope of the applicable library/provider licence; do not use preview or watermarked assets in production unless licensed.
- Do not strip the AI marking. Audio produced by the Service carries machine-readable metadata identifying it as AI-generated. You must not remove, alter or obscure that marking, and you should preserve it where your workflow allows. See our AI Transparency Notice.
- Make the disclosures that apply to you. As the person who publishes or broadcasts the audio, you are responsible for any transparency or labelling duty that applies to it — including under Article 50 of the EU AI Act, and under advertising, broadcasting and consumer-protection rules in each country where the advertisement runs. We mark the output; only you control where it is published.
- Credit Melod.ie. Where you use music from the Melod.ie catalogue, any interface in which you present, preview or offer that music to your own end users must display an attribution substantially reading “Music provided by Melod.ie”. Our API returns a
providerfield on every track for this purpose.
5. Reporting and enforcement
To report a suspected violation or misuse of a voice, contact support@voxify.studio. We may investigate suspected breaches and cooperate with law-enforcement authorities. Depending on the severity, we may remove content, suspend features, suspend or terminate the account, and pursue any remedies available to us under the Terms of Service and applicable law. We will not be liable for action taken in good faith in response to a breach of this AUP.
